What Location?
The location had to make sense for more than just me. Choosing a home for Yoga Horizons of Chicago didn’t take long. I’ve had an office in the building for the last 7 years. I knew there were some spaces available, and that if we want to have a smooth transition from the Yoga Circle to Yoga Horizons of Chicago in June, that there wasn’t a lot of time to locate and potentially have to build-out a space. As chance would have it, Suite 102 met most all of the key criteria that we considered, including size, price, high ceilings, wood floors, availability, adjacency to public transportation and parking. Having commuted downtown to the Yoga Circle for the last 20 years, it will be a bit strange to merely have to go down two floors going forward. While I’m excited about my convenience, I hope others find it both a space and a neighborhood worth spending time in. While the shift to online and hybrid classes has helped sustain our practices during the Covid pandemic, Iyengar Yoga, in particular, is perhaps best pursued through in-person instruction. I’m hopeful that we can make 4619 N Ravenswood a suitable home.
